Students about the training team

I did my CFI training with Jay, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him as a CFI without
any hesitation. Jay’s extensive knowledge of aviation is truly impressive, encompassing both the
theoretical intricacies and practical nuances of flying. He has tons of experience and great
insights about how to be an effective instructor. Jay has a fun and engaging training style which
creates an atmosphere of excitement around learning.

Jay’s vast experience and easy going approach enhances the training environment and prepared me well with a wide scope of skills that will be experienced in real life. Jay’s instruction significantly prepared me for the practical test, and his familiarity with the examiners kept the anxiety level down, as did knowing about the near perfect pass rate he has maintained over the past 10 years. Jay took me from Rusty Pilot to IFR certification and I would heartily recommend him.

Flight Trek Aviation’s Jay Turnbull is one of the BEST instructors out there (Chris you are awesome too!!) – his truly inspiring aviation career and his passion for teaching comes thru instantaneously – he’ll get you ready for whatever stage you are at – private thru CFI/CFII – I had the pleasure of working with Jay for my CFI and when checkride came, it was the easiest (to date) check ride for me – was so ready for all facets of the oral exam, the flying, the teaching, just everything – and Jay is one of those instructors, I’d simply sit in on a class or, if the chance comes up, to fly with him anytime – he definitely taught me so much about “feeling” the plane….5 stars without reservation!!
